Deep Artificial Intelligence, Not Plywood.

Dovetail builds your whole company into one deep system: all your data in one place, agents that do real work, interfaces your team lives in every day. And we are with you every week: improving your systems, coaching your team, solving business problems, and shipping work your customers actually feel.

We don't sell you something and disappear. You work with senior principals: operators who have built companies of their own and write the code themselves.

Most New Tools Change Nothing.

The average business already runs on a dozen tools that don't talk to each other, and every new one is guessing from a fragment of the truth. What matters is unified architecture: a stack chosen on purpose, data in one database, agents in one codebase, interfaces on top โ€” everything reinforcing everything else instead of adding to the tangle.

One Headquarters For Your Whole Business.

Your team starts every day in one place. Orders, customers, conversations, documents: one system, one answer to any question, and the overnight work already done by agents before anyone sits down.

Four Moves, One Order.

Always in this order, because each move depends on the one before it. Agents and interfaces are only as good as the foundation underneath them.

Step 1 Define the stack

Sometimes it makes sense to build you a custom CRM; sometimes the right call is buying a best-in-class system off the shelf. What we won't do is assemble a frankenstack: tools that each win their category, stitched together by your team in random spreadsheets. Step one is deciding, on purpose, which tools own which domain.

Step 2 Unify the data

Everything flows into one Postgres database: your store, your CRM, your inventory, your knowledge base. The dovetail joints between them are the point: one interlocking source of truth.

Step 3 Put agents to work

Digital employees live in one codebase โ€” yours โ€” not scattered across three platforms where nobody knows where to look when one breaks. The tools to build them have never been cheaper. What you're paying for is judgment: we decide what's worth building, review every line, ship it live, and keep it running.

Step 4 Build the interfaces

Data is useless until it turns into decisions and great customer experiences. Dashboards, reports, and polished sales tools that used to cost a million dollars and a month of meetings now ship in days. And they'll be beautiful: our DNA is commercial filmmaking, and in an age where anyone can build, emotional design is what stands out.

Built to Be Maintained.

It's not what you can build, it's what you can maintain. One flat retainer, one weekly cadence, one active project at a time: always your most important.

Coach, not doctor.

We are not the doctor who prescribes and disappears. We are the health coach in the gym with you every week, making your team the strongest, fittest version of itself.

No finished state.

Plenty of beautiful buildings rot from neglect. There is no finished state: everything gets improved, calibrated, and upgraded with the latest frontier models.

Operators first.

We come from operations: inventory, people, production, not just software. The job is solving business problems with logic, communicating clearly, and iterating on what reality tells us.

Home turf.

Our deepest experience is in healthcare, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and technology. The method works in any industry; those are the ones we know from the inside.

You own everything.

Data, code, and credentials are yours: portable, transferred anywhere you want, never locked to us. We just manage them for you.

The Work.

We aren't here to sell you software; we are here to make non-technology companies AI native.

The stakes are bigger than any one business. US productivity grew nearly 3% a year through the postwar decades; since 2010 it has slowed to about 1%, despite money being cheaper than ever. Our mission is to help push it back to 2% a year, with a population that isn't growing. That's the work.

Dovetail is run by its founder and a small bench of senior engineers, from Barcelona to Honolulu. Nothing gets handed to juniors.

Donovan Greene spent a decade directing commercials, then crossed over to operations: co-designing and co-founding Rosetta Hall in Boulder and running it from permitting and construction through daily service with a staff of 100. He has been the customer for bad software: the operator juggling a dozen tools that don't talk to each other.

Since 2023 he has solved business problems with data: unifying scattered systems into one database, then building the automations and agents that run on top of it. Those systems are in production today at healthcare, construction, and hospitality companies, doing real work every night. In 2026 he launched Dovetail.City, a nonprofit think tank on housing and urbanism: short film essays on hero projects, a public record of what works, and planning law translated into plain English, all to close the gap between what we know works and what actually gets built. He has lived and worked in the US, Spain, China, the Netherlands, and Japan.

Most consultants who talk about AI have never run a business. Most operators don't write code. Most engineers can't make things beautiful. Dovetail exists because your company deserves all three.
